About
The Modern Philosophy Graduate Workshop at UCSD aims to foster exchange and collaboration among graduate students, faculty, and anyone with an interest in modern philosophy. The goal of our meeting is to workshop papers in progress through presentations and discussion that includes graduate students and faculty.
The workshop will take place in person at UC San Diego on May 19th and 20th, 2022. Depending on Covid-19, we may switch to a hybrid or online-only format. Each speaker will give a roughly 30 minute presentation followed by comments and discussion. Speakers will need to submit a 4000-6000 word draft three weeks prior to the workshop for their commentator. Keynote lectures will be given by Marie Jayasekera (CSU Long Beach) and Kristin Primus (UC Berkeley). *Artwork is Adriaen van de Velde's "Figures in a deer park" (c.1665) |
